Each year the USPS provides several promotions and incentives for mailers to utilize new technology for their First-Class and Marketing Mail.  The promotions focus on specific technologies such as Personalized Color, Informed Delivery, or encouraging the use of Business Reply Mail.  Overall, there are six promotions but a couple in particular target savings for First Class Mail.

  • Earned Value Reply Mail:  The incentive for 2019 is $.03 per mailpiece and encourages mailers to continue to use Business Reply Mail, Courtesy Reply Mail, and Share Mail envelopes and cards.  New participants will earn $.03 credit per reply and repeat participants 2019 mail volume has to be at least 95% of your mail volume during the same period in 2018. The promotion runs from April 1 to June 30.  Registration is from February 15 to March 31.
  • Personalized Color Transpromo:  Bills and statements that meet the dynamic print and personalization requirements will receive a 2% postage discount.  First-time participants only need to meet the dynamic color print requirements.  The promotion runs from July 1 through December 31 and registration is open through the entire promotional period.
  • Emerging and Advanced Technology:  Incorporating technologies such as AR, VR/MR, NFC, Video in Print, and multichannel mail integration can save you 2% on your postal costs.  The promotion begins March 1 and ends on August 31.  Registration opens on January 15.
  • Informed Delivery:  Businesses can receive a 2% discount for mailings that incorporate Informed Delivery.  The promotion runs from September 1 through November 30 and registration begins on July 15.
